Rodeo Parade Float Application

2025 Los Fresnos Rodeo Parade

Presented by the Los Fresnos Chamber of Commerce

Since its beginning in 1989, The Los Fresnos Rodeo has grown to become the “Biggest Little Rodeo in Texas!” In 1990, a small group of forward-thinking individuals got together with a dream for our community. Thanks to the skills, hard-working people, and great community partnerships, the Los Fresnos Rodeo continues it success from year to year. Without the Rodeo fans in Los Fresnos, the Rio Grande Valley and the country, the dream would have never been fulfilled. In 2025, the Los Fresnos Rodeo is celebrating its 35th Annual event.

Parade Entry Planning

Route: The Parade begins at East Second and Alamo streets, proceeds east on Second Street, turns north on Arroyo Boulevard and ends at Memorial Park across from Los Fresnos High School.

Review the Diagram! All Parade entries – especially those with floats – are encouraged to review the Parade Line-Up diagram, which will help float drivers know which route they should take to get to the line-up area.

Parade Flow: All entries must be in a continuous forward movement. Performing while walking is permitted, but no stopping is allowed on the parade route.

Safety First! Participants on floats must remain on their floats for safety reasons until the parade ends.

Audio? Audio must be indicated in your application to help plan the Parade Line-Up and avoid overlapping (drowning) your music with other entries in front of and behind you. You must monitor your audio levels. Audio with dance groups must face toward the dance group. If you are asked to lower the volume levels, please do so respectfully.

Distribution Rules:
• Candy or advertisements may not be thrown from floats or vehicles, but may be distributed by walkers near the float/vehicle/dance group.
• Political signs, push cards or other political literature is not allowed to be distributed by anyone.

Tractor-Trailer 18-Wheeler Entries: All tractor-trailer entries will be near the end of the parade. They should line up on Arroyo Boulevard facing north and wait to be directed to the parade route by Los Fresnos Police Department.
