Rodeo & Concert FAQs:

Q: I have a Concert Only ticket, can I exchange it for a Concert & Rodeo ticket?

Yes, please visit our ticket office upon arrival at the rodeo grounds. This is based on availability as rodeo tickets do sell out.


Q: When can I purchase tickets at the gate/box office at the Rodeo Grounds?

Friday, Saturday, & Sunday 9 am until closing. This is based on availability as rodeo tickets do sell out.


Q: When we order tickets online is it okay to show the tickets by phone instead of printing it out?

Yes. We can scan the tickets right off of your phone.


Q: What are the ticket prices for the Rodeo and the Concert?

Ticket prices vary. For the most up-to-date pricing, please go to www.lfrodeo.com/gettickets


Q: Can I buy a rodeo ONLY ticket?

No, the concert is included in the price of the rodeo ticket

However, you can buy a concert-only ticket or come on Sunday when a concert is not part of the rodeo.

Yes, you can buy a concert-only ticket.


Q: Do children get in free to the rodeo?

Children 2 and up will require a ticket and seat. Children under 2 will get in free, but the child must sit in your lap. If a child is going to occupy a seat, a ticket must be purchased.

Q: What do we do with exchange passes?

There are a few tips we want to share when it comes to exchange passes.

    • This is not a ticket. This is a pass that you can exchange for a ticket
    • They must be redeemed before rodeo performance start times.
    • Rodeo performances do sell out, so we recommend exchanging your pass ASAP.
    • The pass does not guarantee you a ticket if the performance is sold out at the time of the exchange

    • At the City of Los Fresnos City Hall ticket outlet. City Hall is open Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5pm

Q: Do I need to print out my ticket?

No, we can scan from your phone.


Q: Can I leave the rodeo performance & come back in?

Yes, make sure you get a stamp from a gate attendant.



Q: What happens if the weather gets bad?

The Los Fresnos Rodeo is a rain or shine event, which means that barring a situation that is dangerous to our guests, the show will go on. No refunds will be issued for inclement weather.


Q: What happens if the concert is delayed or canceled?

All Los Fresnos Rodeo events and entertainment are subject to entertainer, date, and time changes. Additionally, as a live, competitive event, which takes place rain or shine, Los Fresnos Rodeo events and entertainment may change based on the nature of the rodeo competition. Refunds will not be issued in response to these changes. Los Fresnos Rodeo is not liable for any expenses incurred by attendees in the rare event of a concert cancellation. We recommend reviewing any insurance policies or protections you may have purchased when buying your tickets.

Q: What time is the rodeo each day?

Friday - 7:00 pm
Saturday - 7:00 pm
Sunday - 3:00 pm

Q: How long are the rodeo performances?

It takes around 2 hours and 45 mins but showtimes can vary.


Q: When does the concert start?

Friday night we estimate a 9:45 pm concert start time, but is subject to change based on the length of each event. Please arrive early as these start times are only an estimate. You can enjoy our activity area while you wait for the rodeo performance to commence.

Carnival FAQs:

Q: How much are carnival wristbands?

Prices for Carnival wristbands are determined by Heart of America. The price of a wristband can vary by day.

Q: What are the hours of the carnival?

Carnival reserves the right to open late or close early due to weather and if demand is low.

Q: What are the age and height restrictions for the carnival?

Each ride is different and determined by carnival staff

Parking FAQs:

Q: What does it cost to park?

The parking fee is $10 per car. Please bring exact change. You will pay this fee as you enter the fairgrounds. This fee gets you access to the local band stage, attractions, the carnival, livestock show, vendor booths, and home show exhibits!


Q: Can you buy parking ahead of time?

No, you pay cash at the gate. No bills larger than $20. Exact change preferred.


Q. Will there be plenty of parking?
While we usually have plenty of parking, we are limited in number of spaces. If you can, please try and carpool or walk into the fairgrounds as traffic can back up. Additionally, please come early to skip the traffic and enjoy all our event has to offer!

Weather FAQs:

Q: What happens if it rains?

Rodeo showcases the toughest ProRodeo Contestants in the country! Rodeo stops for no one, not even Mother Nature! Just like a football game, the Los Fresnos Rodeo is a rain-or-shine event. No refunds will be issued.

Q: Can I bring an umbrella into the Rodeo arena?

If rain is forecasted, we strongly recommend a rain poncho for use during the Rodeo. You may bring an umbrella between the parking area and the arena, but no umbrellas may be opened inside the arena out of respect for the Rodeo fans around you.

Q: What can I bring to stay dry?

A rain poncho is a great start! You're also welcome to bring a towel to dry your seat off. Plastic grocery bags work great to cover your shoes or to put any wet clothes in before your ride home. Keep in mind that water can ruin suede or untreated leather.

Q: What about the concert when it rains?

All Los Fresnos Rodeo events and entertainment are subject to entertainer, date, and time changes. Additionally, as a live, competitive event, which takes place rain or shine, Los Fresnos Rodeo events and entertainment may change based on the nature of the rodeo competition. The Heart of America Carnival reserves the right to open late or close early due to weather.

Q: Can I bring my dog, cat, or other animals to the grounds?

We love that our Los Fresnos community is pet-friendly! However, for the safety of all patrons, pets of any kind are prohibited on the premises. Exceptions to this policy will be made for service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. All livestock entering the grounds must be registered to participate in the Cameron County Livestock Show or in the Los Fresnos Rodeo. All others are strictly forbidden.


Q: Are there ATMs available on site?

Yes, there will be multiple ATM locations available on the grounds.


Q: What forms of payments do we take?

You can purchase tickets with Credit, Debit, or Cash. No checks accepted.
Beer booths accept cash and card
Vendors will take a variety of payment methods. However, they are welcome to decide what method of payment they will accept.
